About Me 101

Hello, my name is Angela Medrano the Founder, CEO, Creative Director, Fashion Designer and all other hats necessary for Ruthless68 to succeed for the moment. I come from a very small village called San Felipe in my mother land El Salvador, where I grew up with no electricity nor running water at some point in my childhood. My mother migrated us to the U.S in the early 90s, she wanted my brother and I to have a shot at what is called “The American Dream”.

And well...This is my best shot!

My journey into the fashion industry is not your average fashion designer story. In the 90s my mom used to take me shopping at our local Goodwill stores because that was what she could afford at the time, I watched her play dress up and pick out the best pieces. One thing I can say about my mom, she always wore the flyest fits and made sure I did too. Looking back now, I find myself reminiscing of an immigrant little girl who barely spoke English. Living in a small one-bedroom apartment with her family, dreaming of designing her own clothes and drawing dress figures in her drawing books because she could not wear what the popular girls were wearing in elementary school. Unintentionally developing an eye for fashion and little did she know, Ruthless68 had been brewing up inside her the entire time. At some point life took over as an adult and that dream was lost in transition, which in retrospect I am very thankful for because God's timing is immaculate.

Years later in 2021, as an outlet I ran away from my darkest times fighting suicidal thoughts. I moved to downtown Los Angeles from Northern Virginia. I focused on my corporate job which at the time felt like the peak of my career in the search for humanitarian like work. I had an unwavering aspiration to lead and create an atmosphere with nothing but positivity for others, how ironic right? I quickly came to the realization of how impossible and far-fetched that was for me.

                                                  I got my vision...

I finally gave in one night, on my knees drowning in my own puddle of drool and tears contemplating my life. With no one to speak to, I leaned on God. Suddenly I heard the words “LOVE YOURSELF” and my light bulb immediately went off. I saw my entire life flash before my eyes, I understood my assignment. From that day forward I made a commitment with God & myself to reach and inspire as many people like yourself and many others who too need to hear Ruthless68’s message. To bring light into the world through faith, creativity, and my passion for fashion.

Ruthless68 exist today to inspire and uplift others by fostering a culture of self-love and confidence. By creating one of a kind, exclusive garments that will empower men and women to walk into a room like faith & God placed them there, regardless of any limiting circumstances. Where degrees, titles, money, status, ethnicity, religious background, sexual orientation are out of sight and out of mind. For all my doers, go getters, and dream chasers who have nothing but their passions and self-worth to show up for.
